The Wedge Guy Returns . . . to GolfWRX

GolfWRX has announced that industry veteran Terry Koehler will resume his weekly blog as “The Wedge Guy”, beginning Tuesday, March 19, 2019 as an exclusive feature of GolfWRX. The column can be found at www.GolfWRX.com/TheWedgeGuy. In his regular weekly column Koehler will share insights, observations and opinions gleaned from a 40-year career in the golf industry. Koehler introduced his bi-weekly blog columns at TheWedgeGuy.com in 2003 and wrote until 2010, having to pause when his life’s pace was accelerated by the creation of SCOR Golf and then the resurrection of Ben Hogan Golf Equipment Company.

GolfWRX has established itself as the leading source for golf news and insights, with over 20 million monthly page views, and over 2 million unique visitors per month during the peak golf season.

Koehler will take the GolfWRX reader inside the mind and heart of a lifelong golfer and 40-year veteran of the golf equipment industry. He is a serious student of the game and its history and loves golf course architecture and the many nuances of golf instruction and learning. Koehler has led five golf equipment start-ups dating to the 1980s and admits to having earned his PhD from the school of business reality. He has designed hundreds of putters, irons and of course, wedges, and has been awarded multiple golf club patents. It is quite likely he spent more time researching and studying golfers and their short games than anyone in the industry. Many followers and fans claim his innovative work with sole design and wedge weighting is the best in the industry.

Through TheWedgeGuy columns, Koehler will pontificate across a wide range of topics, but as you would expect, he will most often be focused on the scoring game. His goal is to give golfers interesting, fun and useful information to help them score better and enjoy the game more.

Since its start in 2005, GolfWRX has grown to be the leading resource for daily golf news. Editor-in-Chief Ben Alberstadt expressed his excitement of convincing Koehler to revive his popular blog as The Wedge Guy.

“I’ve known Terry Koehler for many years, and he has always been an interesting interview,” said Alberstadt. “His insights are deep and refreshing and always leave you wanting to know more about what goes on inside his mind. We feel fortunate at GolfWRX to be the platform that can bring The Wedge Guy to our followers on a weekly basis.”

TheWedgeGuy column will be published each Tuesday, and can be accessed through a direct link – www.GolfWRX.com/TheWedgeGuy. Readers are invited to email Terry@TheWedgeGuy.com to ask questions and request topics for Terry to address in future columns.
